DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED

Haldimand OPP were conducting patrols on Robinson Road, Dunnville, Thursday at 1.08 am, when a vehicle travelling north bound caught the attention of an officer. He stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver who showed signs of impairment.

Charged is 38-year-old Scott Trowsdale of Dunnville with: impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failing to provide a breath sample.

COLLISION LEADS TO DRUG CHARGES

Haldimand OPP has charged a 34-year-old male with multiple offences following a two vehicle collision on Main Street North, Hagersville, near Macneil Court. Neither driver was injured as a result of the collision.

A pickup truck was travelling north bound on Main Street North, early Tuesday afternoon when it slowed to turn into a private driveway and was struck from behind by an SUV.

The driver of the SUV did not have a valid driver’s licence and the driver was subsequently arrested. A search of the vehicle located a quantity of illicit drugs and Canadian currency.

OPP has charged 34-year-old Dameon Hunter of Brantford with: five counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, failing to comply with a probation order, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, drive a motor vehicle while disqualified, and careless driving.
