RACING ON HWY 3, CAYUGA

Haldimand OPP were conducting patrols on Highway 3 in Cayuga, early evening Sunday, when an officer noticed a vehicle travelling east bound at more than 50 km/hour above the posted 80 km/hour speed limit.

OPP stopped the vehicle and subsequently charged 30-year-old Jeremy Bruce of Ajax, Ontario with racing a motor vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act.

His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle seized and impounded for seven days.

 

VEHICLE STOLEN IN HAGERSVILLE

Thieves stole a vehicle that was locked and parked on the shoulder of Parkview Drive, Hagersville near the West Haldimand General Hospital, between Sunday at 6.30 pm and Monday 12.30 am.

The vehicle is described as a black 2005 GMC Envoy which had a Toronto Blue Jays decal on the rear window.
