Rogers’ cables are finally coming down off their ugly poles in Cayuga this week, to be finally buried underground, years after the streetscaping was supposedly finished.
Rogers first marked the red lines a few weeks ago. The guy in charge told us the delay was because “first it was Mountain Cable, then Shaw, now Rogers”.
They are working on Talbot street near the bridge today. where storeowners are not looking forward to having the sidewalk ripped up yet again.
Everywhere they have torn up, they have filled in with asphalt, presumably to be torn up yet again sometime in the future and repaved to fit the streetscaping theme.
Now, the question is, who takes down the redundant, grossly oversized poles?
You gotta love the County planners behind this cockeyed ass-backwards project.
