The OPP traffic blitz along the Highway 6 Corridor on Wednesday resulted in 190 charges.

The initiative concentrated on two sections: Highway 6 (S) from Haldimand County to Highway 403 in the City of Hamilton and Highway 6(N) from Hwy 403 in the City of Hamilton into Wellington County.

Charges laid included: 28 speeding; 51 various Highway Traffic Act and Provincial Offences; 4 distracted driving; 2 Tobacco Tax Act; 1 seat belt; and 9 Commercial Motor Vehicle inspections which resulted in 4 commercial motor vehicles taken out of service.
