United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk has been given a gracious donation of $30,000 from Aberdeen Health and Community Services Foundation.

Aberdeen has a long-standing history of supporting health and wellness services in Brantford, Haldimand and Norfolk. After many years of faithful service to this community, Aberdeen has made the decision to dissolve their organization.

“This last year has been our swan song and we’ve been able to help a lot of amazing organizations,” said Lynn Hewitt, President of Aberdeen Health and Community Services Foundation.

“It was important to us to give our final legacy gift to a deserving organization. We recognize the valuable support that United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk gives to this community and are honoured to present them with this donation to continue helping those in need.”

United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk currently supports 12 agencies and over 12,500 people who use their services.

“We appreciate all the work that Aberdeen has done over the years in this community and are deeply honoured to receive this generous gift,” said Brittany Burley, Executive Director of United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk.

United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk’s campaign goal this year is $375,000. The need for social services continues to grow every year. The goal is to support more local agency programs who are providing hope to children, adults and families in need.
