Haldimand OPP is reminding all off road vehicle users to obey applicable laws and safety precautions when operating any off road vehicle. OPP will continue to enforce applicable laws to ensure the safety of motorists and the community.

Being a responsible rider and following the rules of the road will significantly reduce the risk of a collision. The following are some of the requirements that apply to all off road vehicles when using a roadway in Ontario:

Driver must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid G2, M2 licence or greater. Driver and passenger must wear approved motorcycle helmets. Driver must carry the registration permit for the vehicle. Vehicle must have a rear licence plate and must be insured. Maximum speed is 20 km/hour where posted speed limit is 50 km/hour or less
