Haldimand OPP has charged a 74-year-old woman after a two vehicle collision on Concession 12 Walpole, Hagersville, sent four people to hospital.
OPP, Haldimand Fire Services and paramedics were called to the intersection of Concession 12 Walpole and Haldimand Road 55 Thursday afternoon where a witness reported two vehicles collided and one of the occupants was trapped.
Haldimand County Fire Services extricated the 74-year-old driver and paramedics transported her to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Haldimand County paramedics also transported a woman and two young children from the other vehicle to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A passenger vehicle, driven by the 74-year-old woman, was travelling north bound on Haldimand Road 55 when it proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a passenger vehicle that was travelling west bound on Concession 12 Walpole.
OPP has charged the 74-year-old Brantford woman with careless driving and failing to wear a seat belt under the Highway Traffic Act.
