Haldimand OPP has charged a 35-year-old with impaired driving following a collision on Main Street West in Dunnville, Tuesday.
A witness reported seeing the driver fleeing the scene on foot. Police located an individual a short distance away matching the description and confirmed her as the driver of the vehicle that struck an unoccupied vehicle.
While officers spoke with the driver, signs of impairment were detected and she was arrested. Further investigation by an OPP Drug Recognition Evaluator determined the driver was impaired by drug.
Tammy Carson, 35, of Collingwood is charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
During the investigation, officers located the registered owner of the vehicle involved in the collision and found he was in violation of multiple court orders.
As a result, OPP has also charged Travis Moore, 32, of Barrie with: Fail to Comply with a Release Order and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order (5 counts)
