Haldimand OPP is reminding the public to keep properties secure following several theft reports from residences in Dunnville
On Monday at 7:35 a.m., OPP responded to George Street in Dunnville for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The thieves entered an unlocked vehicle on the property over the weekend and removed several keys that were inside.
Almost two hours later an Alder Street West resident noticed several power tools were missing from a shed on their property.
Thieves entered the shed over the weekend and stole power tools: a red Skil Mitre saw, a black and yellow Dewalt Mitre saw, a black and yellow Dewalt jigsaw, a red Skil jigsaw, a black battery booster pack and a blue Coleman airpump.
Three hours later OPP responded to Broad Street West for a report of another break and enter over the weekend.
Thieves entered an unlocked sunroom on the property before removing a 42″ JVC television, a Sony Bluetooth speaker and a skateboard.
OPP is asking anyone who may have noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles, or who may have any information regarding these incidents to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
OPP is reminding all residents to always keep vehicles and doors to residences and storage sheds locked, remove valuables from your vehicle or keep them from plain view. Consider alarm systems, motion sensor lighting and keep your landscaping groomed to lessen hiding spots for criminals.
