Haldimand OPP, County Fire Services and paramedics responded to a three vehicle collision on Highway 3 between Decewsville Road and Dry Lake Road Cayuga, Tuesday morning.
Witnesses reported a tractor trailer was involved and that a woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
The 47 year old woman passenger was extricated and paramedics transported her to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A blue Ford F150 pickup truck was travelling west bound on Highway 3 waiting for traffic to pass in order to turn left into a private driveway, when it was struck from behind by a west bound white Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The momentum of the impact sent the Ford F150 into the east bound lane where it struck the rear left corner of an east bound tractor trailer.
The 18-year-old male driver of the F150 and the 45-year-old male driver of the Dodge Ram were both transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 57-year-old male driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
Highway 3 was closed between Decewsville Road and Dry Lake Road for approximately three and a half hours while emergency crews were on scene.
