Haldimand OPP has charged a 40-year-old woman with impaired driving and other criminal offences following two collisions in Caledonia, Sunday evening.
According to a witness, a grey Honda Accord was travelling south bound on Highway 6 when it struck another vehicle from behind. The Accord then turned onto Orkney Street West where it struck another vehicle parked on the shoulder.
A witness was assisting the driver who appeared injured and needed medical attention.
The vehicle driver was examined by paramedics and transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
While speaking with the driver, police noticed signs of impairment and arrested her. During the arrest, she assaulted them.
OPP has charged 40-year-old Angela Ryckman of Selkirk with:
Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
Fail or refuse to provide a breath sample
Assault Peace Officer (2 counts)
Resist Peace Officer
