Haldimand OPP has charged two drivers, both women, following two separate collision investigations in Dunnville and Caledonia.

Friday evening, OPP were called to Gore A. Road in Dunnville for a two vehicle collision where it was reported a south bound mini-van had collided with a north bound farm tractor.

While speaking with the female driver of the mini-van, officers noted she  had consumed alcohol. She failed a roadside test and was subsequently arrested.

Charged is 36-year-old Jaclyn Wendel of Dunnville, with driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Later the same evening, a witness reported a vehicle had collided with a traffic signal pole at Hwy. 6 and Greens Road, Caledonia. The silver SUV was travelling north bound on Highway 6 at the time. There were no other vehicles involved.

While officers spoke with the female driver of the SUV, signs of impairment by alcohol were detected and she was subsequently arrested.

OPP has charged 39-year-old Tammy DeSousa of Caledonia with driving a motor vehicle while impaired and driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
