Haldimand OPP has charged a 37-year-old woman with impaired driving and multiple other offences following a collision on Highway 6, Caledonia, Friday morning.
OPP were on patrol in the area of Highway 6, south of Fifth Line when they observed a vehicle that had been involved in a collision. As the officer approached to investigate, an individual at the scene fled on foot and after a brief pursuit, she was taken into custody.
OPP received additional traffic complaint calls on the same vehicle, one of which reported it had struck a tractor trailer on Highway 6. The driver was travelling south bound on Highway 6 and crossed into the north bound lane where it struck a north bound tractor trailer.
While police spoke with the woman identified as the driver, they noticed signs of impairment. A search of the vehicle found illicit drugs.
OPP has charged 37-year-old Barbara Lummiss of Hagersville with:
●  Impaired driving
●  Obstruct Peace Officer
●  Possession of Schedule 1 substance – Methamphetamine
●  Drive motor vehicle – no licence
 Use plates not authorized for vehicle
Operate motor vehicle without insurance
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date/
