IMPAIRED DRIVING

Haldimand OPP has charged a 27-year-old man after receiving a traffic complaint of a vehicle driving aggressively in Port Dover Saturday night. The pickup was last seen travelling northbound on Highway 6.

Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle travelling into Jarvis and eventually into Hagersville where officers stopped it. While speaking with the male driver, police detected signs of impairment by alcohol and the driver was subsequently arrested.

OPP has charged 27-year-old Christian Tilli of Hamilton with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.

STUNT DRIVING

Haldimand OPP has charged a 37-year-old woman with stunt driving following a traffic stop on Talbot Street East, Cayuga.

OPP were patrolling the area of Talbot Street East Saturday evening when  they saw a vehicle travelling eastbound at more than double the posted 50 km/hour speed limit.

37-year-old Shannon Trueman of Binbrook has been charged with racing a motor vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act. Her vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days and her driver’s licence was automatically suspended for seven days.

CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED

Haldimand OPP has charged a 40-year-old man following a single motor vehicle collision on Second Line, Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation.

OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation paramedics responded when it was reported a vehicle was in the ditch and the occupant was possibly injured.

Paramedics examined the man who was not seriously injured. When police spoke with the male driver, signs of impairment by alcohol were detected and he was subsequently arrested. He was over three times the legal limit.

40-year-old Nicholas Davis of Six Nations is charged with: Driving a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol; Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
