MULTIPLE CHARGES FOR SELKIRK MAN

A 27-year-old driver has been charged with multiple offences, including drinking and driving, following a traffic stop on Haldimand Road 53 in Selkirk, Saturday evening.
OPP patrolling the area caught a vehicle on radar travelling more than 50 km/hour above the posted 80 km/hour speed limit.
They stopped the vehicle, the driver registered a fail on the roadside test and was taken into custody.
Charged is 27-year-old Scott Mathews, 27, of Selkirk, with ●  Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood ●  Stunt Driving ●  Drive motor vehicle with open container of Liquor ●  Drive motor vehicle with Cannabis readily available

SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION INJURES TWO

Haldimand OPP, County Fire Services and paramedics responded to South Cayuga Road Sunday afternoon where it was reported a vehicle was partially submerged in a creek and two people were injured.
The vehicle was travelling north bound on South Cayuga Road when the driver lost control at a curve and travelled across the south bound lane and down an embankment to the creek.
The 26-year-old driver from Smithville and 26-year-old passenger from Hamilton were transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. OPP were later updated that the driver was transported to an out of town hospital by Air Ornge Ambulance.

DUNNVILLE MAN FACES HARASSMENT CHARGES

Haldimand OPP has charged a 24-year-old man after investigating several harassment incidents that began during the first week of September in Dunnville.
Charged is Neil Jensen, 24, of Dunnville with Criminal Harassment.
He will appear in Cayuga court at a later date.
