WORKER INJURED IN FALL
The Ministry of Labour is investigating a workplace accident on Concession 2 Walpole, Selkirk, Friday afternoon.
A 33-year-old was working on a cellular tower and fell to the ground sustaining serious injuries. The individual was transported to a local area hospital and subsequently taken to an out of town hospital via Air Ornge Ambulance.
PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE IN DUNNVILLE
Haldimand OPP is investigating after an elderly male pedestrian was injured crossing Lock Street West in Dunnville, Monday morning. He was walking south bound when he was struck by a westbound vehicle.
He was transported to a local area hospital with what at the time was believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Hospital assessment downgraded his condition and he was sent to an out of town hospital.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting with the investigation. OPP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have any information to assist with the investigation, to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
