DRIVER CHARGED WITH REFUSING BREATH SAMPLE

Haldimand OPP has charged a 49-year-old man following a collision Wednesday.

OPP and paramedics were called to the parking lot near the Port Maitland pier for a vehicle collision where one individual was injured. The vehicle was exiting a parking spot and collided with a pedestrian who was standing near a boat trailer. The man sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

When officers spoke with the male driver, Adrian Lungu of Stoney Creek, they detected he had consumed alcohol. He refused to take a roadside test and was subsequently arrested and charged with failing to provide a breath sample.

CHICKEN, BEER AND GOLF BALLS STOLEN

Norfolk thieves take some really weird stuff.

Wednesday morning police were contacted by a resident reporting a break and enter on Wyndham Street, Simcoe. Thieves forced entry into a garage and stole gas cans, golf balls, chicken from the freezer and some beer.
