COLLISION RESULTS IN MULTIPLE CHARGES

Haldimand OPP has charged a 31-year-old man with multiple offences following a two vehicle collision on Highway 6, Jarvis, Saturday evening.

Prior to receiving the call for the collision, OPP were responding to a traffic complaint on Highway 6 in Hagersville about one of the vehicles involved in the collision.

The two vehicles were travelling south bound on Highway 6 when one struck the other from behind. While speaking with the male driver from one of the vehicles, the officer detected signs of impairment and the driver was subsequently arrested. He was taken by paramedics to a local area hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Charged is 31-year-old Christopher Pretty of Brantford with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and driving a motor vehicle while disqualified.

Saturday evening from Jukasa Speedway on Haldimand Road 20.

The black 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck was locked and parked in the west side Speedway parking lot between 7:45 p.m. and 10:35 p.m..
