A second man has been arrested in a break, enter and assault on Elizabeth Crescent, Dunnville, the morning of November 21. Three suspects had forced entry into a residence and demanded money from the male victim, who was struck by an object.
The suspects fled the area in a white, 1990’s model Pontiac or Honda, with a black fin on the rear, that was parked down the street from the residence. They were described as two males and one female who had their faces covered and were wearing hoodie style sweatshirts. A firearm was used in the offence.
OPP arrested and charged one of the suspects, Nathaniel Smith of Dunnville, two days later with robbery using a firearm and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
On Thursday, Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit attended a King Street West address in Hamilton to execute an arrest warrant on a man they identified as a suspect. After a brief foot pursuit, the man was taken into custody.
OPP has charged 34-year-old Shane Murray of Hamilton with robbery using a firearm, disguise with intent, obstructing a Peace Officer and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
