A suspicious vehicle complaint on Haldimand Road 17 in Dunnville, Tuesday morning, led to multiple charges against a 40 year old.
As police approached the vehicle they noticed another vehicle with several people nearby. A man and woman got into a newer model red Ford F150 pickup truck and quickly accelerated away, striking a home and another vehicle in the process. Attempts to stop it were unsuccessful.
The Ford F150 that fled the scene was on file as stolen. It was last seen travelling east bound on Haldimand Road 17, and remains outstanding, as do its occupants.
A man located at the scene led to the recovery of a large quantity of tools. A search also revealed he was in possession of a prohibited weapon.
OPP has charged Christopher Logan, 40, of Dunnville, with: ● Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 ● Unauthorized possession of a weapon, and ● Possession of firearm or ammunition. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.
