Haldimand OPP has charged two people following traffic stops on Argyle Street North, Caledonia.

On Friday afternoon, OPP were conducting patrols on Argyle Street North when a vehicle caught the attention of an officer. The officer stopped it and while speaking to the driver, noticed a quantity of unmarked cigarettes inside.

Charged is 33-year-old Norbert Kiss of Toronto with: possession of unmarked cigarettes under the Tobacco Tax Act, possession of unmarked tobacco for the purpose of sale under the Tobacco Tax Act, speeding, expired validation tag.

On Sunday afternoon, police noticed a vehicle travelling above the posted speed limit. The officer stopped it and while speaking with the female driver, noticed a quantity of unmarked cigarettes inside the vehicle.

Charged is 43-year-old Samantha Lear of Thorold with: possession of unmarked cigarettes under the Tobacco Tax Act, possession of unmarked tobacco for the purpose of sale under the Tobacco Tax Act, speeding

Both are to appear in Provincial Court Cayuga at a later date.
