Haldimand OPP has charged two individuals following a robbery investigation at a Broad Street East, Dunnville, address Sunday. 

Two suspects forced entry into the residence where they brandished edged weapons and demanded cash from the occupants.  The thieves ransacked the residence before fleeing the area with a quantity of jewelry, clothing and Canadian currency.

The occupants of the residence were not injured.

A short time later, Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle in a ditch in Wainfleet where the occupants of the vehicle were later identified as the suspects involved in the robbery. 

The vehicle had been stolen from a separate Broad Street East address. 

OPP has charged 31-year-old Matthew Davis and 33-year-old Mallory Kitchen, both of Dunnville, with: Robbery with a weapon, Break and enter,  Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Theft of motor vehicle and  Mischief over $5,000.

Both were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.
