United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk is announcing the launch of the Local Love in a Global Crisis COVID-19 Response Fund to help individuals, families and organizations in need as communities across the two counties deal with effects from the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
COVID-19 is putting the most vulnerable people of Haldimand and Norfolk in an extremely challenging situation. March 2020, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic.
United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk is currently accepting donations to help address these pressing needs, “As the impact of COVID-19 grows in our community, so does the demand on our social services organizations. Resources raised through our COVID-19 Response Fund will ensure agencies on the ground can continue their critical work in this time of need”, says Kim Shippey, Executive Director, United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk.
To ensure that local organizations can continue to provide the support system to assist those throughout the COVID-19 crisis, United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk is now accepting applications for funding. They are inviting non-profit organizations who are central to the provision of supports and services that meet the immediate community needs related to COVID-19, to apply for funding.
