Two charged in theft of vehicle

Haldimand OPP has charged two males after locating a stolen vehicle on Haldimand Road 9, York.

OPP were patrolling the area after midnight Monday when a parked vehicle, which was occupied by two males, caught their attention. It had been reported stolen.

A quantity of illicit drugs was found inside the vehicle.

OPP has charged 24-year-old Elijah Farmer of Hamilton, and 23-year-old Brandon Hopwood of Ancaster with: Possession of stolen property obtained by crime over $5,000 and Possession of a schedule I substance

Vehicles stolen

Sometime overnight Friday into Saturday morning, a green and beige 2006 Ford F250 King Ranch pickup truck was stolen from the driveway of a Victoria Avenue,  Dunnville address. The vehicle was locked and parked.

A grey 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck was reported stolen from the parking lot of a Sutherland Street West apartment complex, sometime between late Wednesday and Saturday afternoon. The vehicle was locked.
