A thief entered a Munsee Street North residence in Cayuga through an unlocked door shortly after 5:05 a.m., Monday.
The suspect removed jewelry, Canadian currency and various hunting and fishing knives after restraining the resident, who was able to get free to call 9-1-1 from a neighbour’s residence. The victim was not injured.
The suspect was described as male, tall, 20-30 years old, wearing a red scarf over his face.
Haldimand OPP is asking anyone who may have noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles, or who may have any information regarding this incident to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
