Haldimand OPP are Iooking for a man who threatened a woman with an edged weapon, carjacked her vehicle and used it to rob a store on New Credit.

The woman had exited her vehicle behind the Libro Credit Union on King St. East, Hagersville around 1.30 pm Saturday when she was approached by an unknown male who brandished the weapon and demanded the vehicle keys.

The suspect took the vehicle and fled west bound on King Street East to Indian Line where he entered the kiosk at the Stop & Save Gas and Variety, brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the clerk. He left in the same vehicle with a quantity of Canadian currency. On his way, the vehicle struck a guard post by the fuel pumps.

The vehicle, described as a grey 2006 GMC Envoy, license plate BJFY 153, was last seen travelling west bound on Indian Line. It may have damage to the left side as a result of the collision with the guard post.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a sage green hoodie style sweatshirt and a dark brown jacket.

No one was injured in either incident.
