Haldimand OPP is providing resources to assist Six Nations Police Service following a fire on Six Nations, Tuesday morning.
Emergency responders found the house on Sixth Line east of Cayuga Road completely engulfed in flames around 8:30 am. A passerby entered the building and brought a man out to safety. No injuries were reported.
The house reportedly, although not officially confirmed, belongs to Chief Mark Hill of the Six Nations elected band council,. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in.
