Middlesex OPP spotted a driver using a cell phone while travelling on Hwy 401 in Thames Centre, last week.
Police stopped the vehicle for the infraction and found a bonus. They seized approximately $802,000 in dried, packaged cannabis and $130,000 in Canadian currency from inside the vehicle.
The two occupants were arrested at the scene and transported to the London OPP Detachment.
Police have charged Vasillaq Koci, 42, of Toronto, and Ajet Mahmuti, 35, of Beeton, with: Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 and Possession for the purpose of distributing as per the Cannabis Act
Koci was also charged with driving with a hand-held communication device under the Highway Traffic Act
Both parties have been released from police custody and are scheduled to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice on November 27.
